About this game
Word Workshop is a free early reading game for kids ages 6-8. A picture clue and a short hint appear at the top, and your child builds the hidden word by tapping letter and syllable tiles into empty slots in the right order.
Words are grouped into friendly themes such as nature, animals and everyday things, and each puzzle splits its word into two to four parts. Tiles can be taken back out of a slot at any time, so rearranging is easy and mistakes cost nothing.
The game has separate Lithuanian and English word sets and runs entirely in the browser - no ads, accounts or downloads on tablet, phone or computer. It suits beginner readers practising how letters and syllables snap together into words.
How to play
- Look at the picture and read the hint about the hidden word.
- Tap the letter or syllable tiles in the order you think spells the word.
- Tap a filled slot to take a tile back out if the order looks wrong.
- When the word is complete and correct, press Next word.
- Work through the whole set to finish the workshop.
