About this game
Star Sprouts is a free night-sky strategy game for kids ages 9-12. Golden and purple points of light sit across a dark map, joined by glowing sky lanes. Your bright nests fill with stars second by second while a rival sky grows on the far side.
Pick any nest holding two or more stars and tap or drag to a connected spot - half the stars drift across the lane. Arrive with more stars than are waiting there and the spot becomes yours. Flights resolve quickly, so rounds stay short and snappy.
This one is a playable prototype: the core map-control loop is complete and runs in the browser with no ads, accounts or downloads. It works on tablets, phones and computers and suits kids who want a fast, readable first taste of real-time strategy.
How to play
- Choose one of your bright nests with at least two stars.
- Tap a connected sky spot, or drag toward it, to send half your stars along the lane.
- Capture a spot by arriving with more stars than it holds.
- Keep every nest producing - each one adds a star every second.
- Light the whole sky before the rival does, then start a fresh map.
